Last mango of season
Yesterday we celebrated the last mango of the season. A red and yellow colour very beautiful one; good to be preserved rather than eaten as a delicacy. It looked like the costly purple 'miyasaki' mango which costs ₹25000/ a piece or ₹2.5 lakhs per kilogram in the open market. I recall a recent article in the Hindu, in which an agriculturist from Madhya Pradesh cultivating this rare variety and growing seven terrier bulldogs in the garden to protect the handful of mangoes. OK. Now let's come to the point. This year God blessed us with abundance of mangoes in a medium grown tree well protected in our backyard. As the fruit started ripening we were eager to share it with our siblings. But due to the restriction of movement during the pandemic we could not share with our dear ones.
